A photo of Dorothy Counts, being jeered and taunted by her white, male peers. She was the first black girl to attend an all white school in the United States.
After four days of harassment that threatened her safety, her parents forced her to withdraw from the school.
I am so glad the world is different now. Imagine how much the world has changed in the last 53 years. Its incredible.
